Although we always describe the STRIKE ONE as the ULTIMATE FISHING MACHINE that is the top boat in Marina Vallarta, we discovered the softer side of her and her top-notch captain and crew on the 24th of the month.  We had family visiting from San Enselmo, Lisa and Michael Prudhomme and their children and owner Bill Peterson kindly offered this boat to us for a 'Family Fun Day' and the very serious fishing crew turned into marshmallows when they dealt with the small children.  Salvador became the surrogate Grandpa and Jose watched the kids with a keen eye.

THE STRIKE ONE GOES SOFT

Captain Hector did not get TOO upset when 2-year-old Paloma took the controls below and suddenly reduced the speed by half.  It was mentioned that he received CPR for a few minutes until he realized that it was just this little charmer and not his engines that had done this dastardly deed.  Everyone snorkeled at Los Arcos and then carried on to Los Animas.  Captain Hector and the crew took 11 year old Noah out past Yelapa where the Manta Rays were performing and this was Noah's highlight of the day.  The crew of the STRIKE ONE should be commended for their efforts to make each and every passenger on their boat feel totally comfortable and safe under any circumstances.

Shortly after this photo was taken, Paloma reached for one of the controls and we have recently learned that Captain Hector has made a full recovery.

Paloma, who is definitely the most adorable child on the face of the earth makes friends everywhere she goes.  She met this guy on Los Animas beach and he stopped for a chat.  Los Animas is a great destination for lunch while on a Family Fun Day.  There are lots of small restaurants and the ocean is wonderful for swimming.

This page is included for all of our past STRIKE ONE charter fisherman.  Can you imagine Salvador dipping a 2 year old into the live bait tank?  Can you imagine the look on his face when she started to toss the live bait back into the ocean?  This is a special boat and a very special crew that deserves mention for the efforts that they make.
