Phil had his first fly-fishing lesson on the 27th. Carl Hoffman is an avid fly-fisherman and wanted to try his luck with something in our waters. The intention was to hook one of the Roosterfish on light fly gear and show Phil what a true thrill this sport can be. They did land a huge Rooster but it was on conventional gear with live bait but Carl hooked a number of skipjacks and Phil had a chance to see and experience a new side of fishing for him. |

Phil will soon have a Fly Fishing page on his site. Don't laugh, Carl was not the first fly fisherman that Phil has hosted, just the first one that let him try the sport. (I guess Carl has not followed our site to see how tough Phil can be on fishing gear) Granted, Phil has little experience in this sport, but he does know what boats are most suitable and can almost always put you onto the fish. The rest is up to you. |
